Hello:

This is Pamela McIntyre.  This is my first year to organize & execute our Shuffleboard Picnic. 

The Picnic turned out great with the help of all our volunteers checking in guests, selling tickets for the 50/50, playing games, helping people sit in shaded areas, serving food, purchasing cookies, buying Ice, bringing and setting up coolers for drinks and organizing the raffle items table.  We were treated to the musical talents of DJ Russ Brown who donated his time. 

The food was delicious and plenty of it was served by our volunteers.  Hamilton Jones and his wife Kimberly, our Sponsors, donated all of the food and worked so hard to cook everything themselves.  I’m so impressed that this wonderful couple donates the food, their time and their energy to our District 7 Shuffleboard players.  Not only that but they also donated a raffle item of Box Seats at Del Mar race track.

This whole experience of working with all of these people has been amazing.  I haven’t even mentioned the people with Four Seasons.  Tracy, their Special Events Coordinator was just as kind and giving as you could imagine.  Then there was Tim, who also is employed there.  He went out of his way to make our event comfortable and shaded.  I never could have finished the preparations for the Picnic if it weren’t for my husband Pierre.  He worked his magic on the computer producing signs, name tags, letters and anything else I needed.
